eMotion Entertainment develops and produces projects with commercial appeal and artistic depth. Monella Kaplan is its founder and CEO.

A writer, producer, and director, Monella began her career as a reporter in Germany, contributing to the news magazine FOCUS and RTL Television before relocating to Los Angeles in the late 1990s to pursue graduate studies in film production.

She went on to hold executive positions at major independent studios including Icon Film and  Millennium Media, whose credits include blockbuster franchises such as THE EXPENDABLES and LONDON HAS FALLEN, gaining deep insight into the architecture of global filmmaking.

She holds Master’s Degrees from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in Film Production and from Ludwig-Maximilian-University (LMU) in Journalism and Political Science. A member of the Producers Guild of America, she speaks six languages.
